I’m Nina Cupric, your current Vice President (Education) 2020/21! So far in this crazy year I’ve been involved in development of the no detriment approach, creating brand new training for our Part Time Officers, working to embed sustainability in the curriculum, co-created the new Representation Policy and have sat in countless meeting ensuring that student voice was heard at the highest levels of the university, especially during these difficult times.
I have the experience and passion to continue making a change for students, which is why I’m re-running for Vice President (Education)! If I’m elected, I will work on:
Academic Support
2020/2021 was an academic year like no other. Graduates, continuing students and new students will all need additional support in order to thrive- I will work with the university to ensure that adequate support is available to all.
Sustainability in the curriculum
Climate change remains our biggest threat despite corona. In my first term as VP Education I worked on embedding sustainability in our curriculum and I will continue to do so if re-elected! I will also work on establishing the Union allotment.
Bridging the gap
BAME, disabled and international students have been particularly affected by the pandemic- making the playing field even more uneven. My aim is to work with each student group to understand their particular needs and then implement the necessary changes- ensuring that no one gets left behind.
Future of Learning
Due to the pandemic, we were forced to engage with digital learning more than ever before. While the journey was difficult, we have learnt new skills and developed new ways of working that we may wish to bring with us into the future. I will be here to listen to your feedback and ensure that your learning is what you want it to be.
It’s time to #pickcupric again- because a vote for me is still a vote for you!
