The start of October means the start of Black History Month, a month-long celebration of Black achievements throughout history and Black students who attend the University of Derby.
Kick-starting Black History Month, Kamil Omoteso (Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences) will be raising the Pan-African flag and giving a speech at the ceremony.
