Coach of the Year
To be awarded to the coach that has made a significant improvement to the performance and results of a Club.
Committee of the Year
To be awarded to the committee that have gone above and beyond in leading their club throughout the course of the year. This group will have shown dedication, working effectively, in delivering a positive experience to its members.
Team Performance of the Year
To be awarded to the team that have stood out in a one off competitive fixture or competition. The team will have worked well together in representing the Union and University in achieving a positive result that exceeds expectations.
Mental Health Champions of the Year
This is to be awarded to the club that has been the most proactive in being as inclusive as possible.
Sports Personality of the Year
To be awarded to the individual who has been committed to the development of sport over the last year.
Sports Team of the Year
To be awarded to the team that have consistently performed at a high level throughout the year and achieved great success within their league/cup/competitive programme.
Most Improved Club
This Club will have demonstrated a change in their membership package/offer which has resulted in significant improvement various aspects of the club.
Most Charitable Club
To be awarded to the club who have stood out throughout the course of the year in actively engaging in charitable opportunities, raising funds and offering their time through volunteering initiatives.
Sports Club of the Year
To be awarded to the club that has demonstrated progressive and proactive development of their club and made a positive impact on university sport this year.
BUCS Points of the Year
This award goes to the Individual or Team who have contributed the most BUCS points to
this year’s current total.
University Honours
To be awarded to individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to sport throughout their time at University. Any of the selected 6 individuals will have championed sport within the Union and University showing that they have gone above and beyond in raising our sporting profile.
Individual Athlete of the Year
To be awarded to the individual who has achieved great success within their sport, making a key impact along with helping those around them.
Rising Star Award
To be awarded to someone who joined a team with no/little experience but has shown amazing progress, is proactively improving, and is always showing 100%
Union Sports Council Award
To be awarded to the club that have positively engaged with the Sports Council over the course of the year, working together in achieving an agreed goal or outcome.
