  • Societies Council Report, was given and can be sent out on request.
  • Financial Report
    • £4,000 still to be spent. Societies have until the 30th of June to spend this money.
  • Committee Election Update
    • Societies have elected 80% of its committees for next year via online elections
  • Societies Branding Review
    • Societies were happy with this change made last year.
  • Societies Development Plan Review
    • Societies were happy with Development Plans
  • Societies Budget Proposal
    • After a long discusion societies voted in favour of changing the way societies apply for funding with amendments which will be worked on via a focus group
  • Societies Fee Proposal
    • The vote was a tie between changing the fee with amendments and no change. As this was not 65% majority there is no change. Societies who voted in favour where encouraged to increase their fees and report back the impact so it can be disscussed next year.

 

  • Academic Societies councillor had two candidates run and Joshua Wiliams was elected Academic Societies councillor.
  • Active & Performance societies councillor had one candidate run and Lewis Roden was elected Active & Performance societies councillor.
  • Buxton and Chesterfield Societies councillor had one candidate run and Sophia Lemord was elected Buxton and Chesterfield societies councillor.
  • Charity & Campaigns Societies councillor had one candidate run and Zas Williams was elected Charity & Campaigns socieities councillor.
  • Interest Societies councillor had one candidate run and Emily Lane was elected Interest Societies councillor.
  • Religious & Cultural Societies councillor had one candidate run and Jack Whatling was elected Religious & Cultural socieities councillor.
  • Inclusive Societies councilor had one candidate and R.O.N was elected so this position will be filled via an online election in the coming months.
