Welcome to CU!

We are a group of students who are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ: His life, death, and resurrection and how this applies to us. We want to share this news with every student at the University of Derby all year round - this includes you! We want students to live a life full of purpose & fun and have a great community around to support them during their time at university.

If you’ve heard about Jesus a couple of times a year and have questions or if you love Jesus and already know Him, we would love to meet you and welcome you to CU. We meet every Thursday from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Bring a friend, get the chance to make new ones, and enjoy the evening worshipping, playing games, getting into God's word, and doing it together!

We also have many opportunities throughout the year for you to attend such as socials, events, and fundraising nights!

DUCU is supported by UCCF: The Christian Unions, an organization that helps equip Christian Unions in universities nationwide.

Equip Meetings

We meet every Thursday evening, from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in Blends at the One Friar Gate Square campus to spend time together socializing, worshipping, playing games, praying, exploring the bible deeper, and more. Doors open at 6:30 PM with time to socialize and catch up with each other. At 7:00 PM our equip nights begin, typically with all the updates around CU and what is to come, to then be followed up with our UCCF bible series around a theme or book in the bible which we continue with throughout the year. Some nights we have special guests from charities or organizations coming in to share talks on who they are and what they do, to help inspire and encourage us. As well as worship every other week, dedicated prayer and praise nights each month, and our renowned record of playing some competitive games occasionally too!

Come along one Thursday and check us out! You are always welcome, no matter the size of your faith, your background, or your beliefs, because here we build each other up, loving in all that we do, because Jesus first loved us.
