The Union of Student’s Advice team provides a free, confidential advice and support service for all University of Derby Students. This includes Buxton and Leek College students, Access, University of Derby Online Learners, and students studying at Partnership Colleges around the world.
Independent to the University, our advice is completely impartial for any student seeking advice, support and information on a range of issues and concerns. Our main areas of advice include; academic issues including offences, appeals and issues affecting personal studies; student conduct, complaints and disciplinaries.
We can also support and signpost for many other issues including finance, housing and wellbeing.
Derby Students - You will find us based at Kedleston Road, under Blends Coffee Shop, weekdays 10.00-4.00pm. Pop along to InfoPoint for information about booking an appointment.
Drop in service
Come and visit us for a 15-minute drop-in service at Kedleston Road Library, The Vault, weekdays from 11.30 – 12.30pm, or 1.00 – 2.00pm, (days depending) and speak to one of our friendly advisors, Kellie or Esther.
We’re often very busy, so we advise to book an appointment in advance.

Chesterfield Students – From the 9th January 2018, Union Advice will be in Chesterfield every other Tuesday, 10.30am – 1.00pm. Please pop into room STG05 or call 01332 591507 for more information and support.
