International Support
Moving to a new country to study is a huge achievement, however, we understand sometimes unexpected challenges can come up that affect your experience. We know that reaching out for support or disclosing your circumstances to someone in this new environment can be daunting, especially if you don’t know where to turn.
Here at the Union, we want to change the culture so every international student feels supported academically and personally throughout their time at University. When navigating a new academic system, and all that comes along with it, we want you to know you do not have to manage it alone and to Speak Up!
Seeking support is confidential and designed to help you stay on track. Speaking to someone early will not negatively affect your academic record or visa. In fact, getting advice early can often prevent situations from becoming more serious.
Let us know!
We want to make accessing support easier and more comfortable for international students.
Tell us:
- What would make you feel more confident asking for help?
- What barriers might stop you?
- What has your experience of support been like?
Where can I access support?
