Boxing Welcome to the University of Derby Boxing Club Whether you’re completely new to boxing, looking to improve your fitness, or interested in taking the sport further and competing, our society is open to everyone. We aim to create a welcoming environment where members can train, learn new skills, get fit and enjoy boxing. For those interested in competing, we also hope to provide opportunities and guidance to help you progress further in the sport. Most importantly, the society is a place to meet new people, challenge yourself and have fun. Social Events Boxing isn’t just about training. Throughout the year, we plan to organise social events, giving members a great opportunity to get to know each other, make friends and be part of the boxing community. Freshers’ Fair & Give It A Go Come and meet us at the Freshers’ Fair on the 15th and 16th, from 10am–4pm! It’s a great opportunity to find out more about the society, meet the committee and learn about what we have planned for the year. We’ll also be running Give It A Go sessions, which will be free for students to try. Dates and times are currently to be confirmed, so keep an eye on our social media for updates. Come along, give boxing a try and see what our sessions are all about! Membership, Location & Contact To take part in our sessions, you will need to be a member of both the Union and the Boxing Club.
