Who are we?

We are the official Creative Arts society here at the University of Derby! Are your notes full of spontaneous sketches or scribbles? Is creativity a big part of who you are? Or are you simply someone who wants to dip their feet into a new hobby? No matter your level of ability or passion, we’re excited to welcome you into our society and can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you! Come be a part of our vibrant creative community - a space to experiment, connect and grow alongside fellow creatives and enthusiasts.

GIVE IT A GO's

We have two taster sessions held at Britannia Mill, so that you can get a feel of what to expect and who you might meet! Every GIAG is in room BM117.

 

18th February 2026 (Wednesday)

16:00 - 19:00 (BM117)

 

27th February 2026 (Friday)

16:00 - 19:00 (BM117)

 

Our regular sessions are every Wednesday and Friday from 16:00 - 19:00! They are in BM117 (Britannia Mill).

 

What to expect?

Our regular sessions are a space where everyone is able to engage in the arts of their choice. We provide the materials (though you're welcome to bring your own!) and you bring your creativity. Wednesdays are our 'chill sessions' where you can do your own thing surrounded by likeminded people, having a chat while we create. While on Fridays we tend to host more art-focused games like Gartic Phone, Drawful (Jackbox) or One Word Story!
