Dance We are the University of Derby Dance Team, a fun and inviting way to continue your dance journey or get back into your childhood hobby. We offer both competitive and recreational classes in a range of styles, including ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz, commerical, contemporary and wildcard. About us: We are a self-ran and self-taught team, meaning all of our classes are taught by our student choreographer (Head to our instagram to see more about our choreographer). Here are some of our awards from over the years: Recognised as Most Inclusive Club of the Year 2017 and 2019! Awarded Committee of the Year 2022, 2024 and 2026! Awarded Mental Health Champions 2023! Awarded Sports Club of the Year 2026! Come and meet us Head on down to Freshers Fair (15th and 16th September) to meet some of our committee and ask any questions you may have! We also will be hosting two weeks of give it a go sessions for you to come and try out some of our classes. Keep an eye out on our instagram for more infomation. Training Our timetable is not currently confirmed for this year, although we usually train over 3 nights a week, Tuesday, Wenesday and Thursday. Memberships To access the sessions, you will need both the Union Pass (£20) and …. Club Membership. The Union Sports Pass is a one-time annual fee of £20 that gives you access to participate within sports at your Union. As a Union Sports member, you receive the following benefits: Access to join our Sports Clubs and access training sessions You are eligible to compete in BUCS competition Able to purchase tickets to the Sports Awards Specific Personal Accident Insurance for student sport through Endsleigh, if you are injured as part any club activities Access to coaching and officiating bursaries through club application to the Union The Union Sports Pass also helps keep our clubs affordable by helping the Union fund training and competition opportunities.
