Environmental & Sustainability Welcome to the University of Derby Environmental and Sustainability community! We are a new society that is open to anyone with an interest in the environment and sustainability, regardless of your course. We will provide an opportunity and space to interact with the environment, sustainable practices, and likeminded people! We have lots of exciting events and socials planned for the 25/26 year with EnSus, including: 🏞️ walks 🍻 quizzes 🦔 conservation activities 🚗 trips To name a few! We will be keeping our website and Instagram updated with any upcoming events and dates throughout the year, so give us a follow to make sure you do not miss out! We try to meet every Wednesday afternoon/evening, and there may be the occasional Saturday event. But don't worry, we will let you know in advance! Whatever your interests, there is something for everyone at EnSus! Upcoming events: Wednesday 15th October – Karaoke night 🎤 Join EnSus for a members-only karaoke night at The Shakespeare on Wednesday 15th October 2025 from 8pm till late. We will be meeting at The Shakespeare, from 8pm onwards, allowing members to get any food and drinks before the karaoke starts at 9pm. You will have the option to join in and sing songs on the open mic, or just come along for a drink and to socialise! The address for the evening is: 16 Sadler gate, Derby, DE1 3NF Wednesday 22nd October 2025 - Autumn walk🍂 Join us for our Autumn Walk at 2pm on Wednesday 22nd October 2025! Meet outside Keddies (union of students shop) at the Kedleston Road campus for a 2:05pm prompt leave time Walking bus to Allestree Park (~1.75 miles) Nature walk and optional nature bingo activity around Allestree Park Walk back to the University of Derby for a predicted 5:30pm arrival time There will be time to stop to take in the nature and for any refreshments you bring. Please note: this event is for members-only and the walk is around 9.5km long in total. There are toilet facilities on site but we won’t be near them till halfway through the beginner-friendly nature walk with a few hills. Contact us!
