Environmental & Sustainability Welcome to the University of Derby Environmental and Sustainability community! We are a new society that is open to anyone with an interest in the environment and sustainability, regardless of your course. We will provide an opportunity and space to interact with the environment, sustainable practices, and likeminded people! We have lots of exciting events and socials planned for the 25/26 year with EnSus, including: 🏞️ walks 🍻 quizzes 🦔 conservation activities 🚗 trips To name a few! We will be keeping our website and Instagram updated with any upcoming events and dates throughout the year, so give us a follow to make sure you do not miss out! We try to meet every Wednesday afternoon/evening, and there may be the occasional Saturday event. But don't worry, we will let you know in advance! Upcoming events: Wednesday 26th November 2025 – Christmas movie night ⛄️🎬 Join EnSus for an evening of watching Christmas films in N508 on the UoD Kedleston Road campus 🎬 The films shown have been chosen by you! The itinerary of the evening follows: 5pm – The Muppet Christmas Carol 6:45pm – Nativity! Estimated finish time for 8:30pm Please note: This will be a members-only event, so buy yours to not miss out! EnSus will not be providing any refreshments, but feel free to bring along your own sensible foods and drinks! Wednesday 3rd December 2025 - Members-only Christmas meal 🍗 The University of Derby’s Environmental and Sustainability Community is inviting all of its members to have a Christmas Meal at the Canero Lounge on Wednesday 3rd December. Wednesday 10th December 2025 - Members-only Christmas market 🎄 For our last event this semester, we are encouraging members to join us on a trip to visit Nottingham's Christmas Market! Meet at the UoD Kedleston Road campus for a prompt 1:30pm departure Get the Red Arrow bus towards Nottingham Time to shop & visit Notts Christmas market as a community Estimated travel back to Derby time 5:30pm Contact us!
