Environmental & Sustainability Welcome to the University of Derby Environmental and Sustainability community! We are a new society that is open to anyone with an interest in the environment and sustainability, regardless of your course. We will provide an opportunity and space to interact with the environment, sustainable practices, and likeminded people! We have lots of exciting events and socials planned for the 25/26 year with EnSus, including: 🏞️ walks 🍻 quizzes 🦔 conservation activities 🚗 trips To name a few! We will be keeping our website and Instagram updated with any upcoming events and dates throughout the year, so give us a follow to make sure you do not miss out! We try to meet every Wednesday afternoon/evening, and there may be the occasional Saturday event. But don't worry, we will let you know in advance! Our society offers many benefits, including: Connecting with nature through nature walks and conservation activities Contributing to making positive changes around campus Meeting and socialising with like-minded individuals And much more, all for a membership fee of £5 for the entire year! Upcoming events: Wednesday 10th December 2025 - Members-only Christmas market 🎄 For our last event this semester, we are encouraging members to join us on a trip to visit Nottingham's Christmas Market! Meet at the UoD Kedleston Road campus for a prompt 1:30pm departure Walking bus to Derby Bus Station Get the Red Arrow bus towards Nottingham Time to shop, visit Notts Christmas market as a community, and the option to ice skate Estimated travel back to Derby time 5:30pm (subject to change) We hope to see as many of you there!
