Hockey Welcome to the University of Derby's Hockey Club's page, this club consists of both a Men's and a Women's team, along with a Mixed team. As a society, we strive to always make people feel a part of our team, both on and off the pitch. TRAINING: Monday 19:00 - 20:30 at Saint Benedict's Catholic Voluntary Academy, Duffield Rd, Darley Abbey, DE22 1JD Meet at St Bens at 18:50 MATCHES: We compete in BUCS most Wednesdays - fixtures will begin in October of 2025 On most Sundays we compete in a Mixed League, this is an opportunity to play more socially yet still at a competitive level. MEMBERSHIPS: Our annual membership price is £60. This fee allows access for you to: Participate in BUCS competition Eligible to play in Mixed League fixtures Access weekly training sessions lead by a qualified coach Participate in weekly social events To access the sessions, you will need both the Union Pass (£20) and a Hockey Club Membership (£60). The Union Sports Pass is a one-time annual fee of £20 that gives you access to participate within sports at your Union. As a Union Sports member, you receive the following benefits: Access to join our Sports Clubs and access training sessions You are eligible to compete in BUCS competition You are eligible to compete in MIXED LEAGUE competitions Able to purchase tickets to the Sports Awards Specific Personal Accident Insurance for student sport through Endsleigh, if you are injured as part any club activities - https://www.derbyunion.co.uk/getinvolved/memberresources/ Access to coaching and officiating bursaries through club application to the Union. The Union Sports Pass also helps keep our clubs affordable by helping the Union fund training and competition opportunities.
