Hockey Welcome to the University of Derby's Hockey Community page. This community consists of a Men's team, a Women's team, and a Mixed team. As a community, we strive to ensure people always feel part of our team, both on and off the pitch. TRAINING: Monday 19:00-20:30 at Saint Benedict's Catholic Voluntary Academy, Duffield Rd, Darley Abbey, DE22 1JD Meet at St Ben's for 18:50 MATCHES: We compete in BUCS matches most Wednesdays - beginning in October 2026! During most weekends, we compete in a Mixed League. This provides members with the opportunity to develop their hockey skills between BUCS fixtures. MEMBERSHIPS: Our annual membership price is £60. This fee includes: Participation in the BUCS competition Eligibility to compete in Mixed League matches Weekly training sessions led by a qualified coach Weekly social events To access the sessions, you will need both the Union Pass (£20) and a Hockey Club Membership (£60). The Union Sports Pass is a one-time annual fee of £20 that gives you access to participate in sports at your Union. As a Union Sports member, you will receive the following benefits: Eligibility to compete in BUCS Eligibility to compete in Mixed League matches Access to our community training sessions Access to coaching and officiating bursaries through application to the Union Opportunity to purchase tickets to the Sports Awards Specific Personal Accident Insurance for student sport through Endsleigh if you are injured during any club activities - https://www.derbyunion.co.uk/getinvolved/memberresources/ The Union Sports Pass also helps keep our clubs affordable by helping the Union fund training and competition opportunities.
