Mature Students Welcome! This is a community that gives mature students a chance to meet, make friends and most importantly to feel inclusive and valued. We will be running a series of events throughout the year including face to face and online. Our first meeting will be on 22nd September 1pm to 2.30pm in student union space at kedleston road. please feel welcome to come along and meet other mature students as well as a chance to bring your ideas of what you would like from your mature students communnity. Current ideas include: Coffee meet ups Bowling Meals Study spaces. We are also looking for people to join our community committee currently there are spaces for: Social secretary - Help organise events. Treasurer - Help with the finance side of things. Secretary - Attend meetings, write up minutes and other admin duties As part of the Community Committee, you'll have the opportunity to: 🌟 Plan activities, events, and socials that interest your members 🤝 Create a welcoming space where students can connect and make friends 💡 Shape the direction and future of the community from the very beginning 🎓 Develop valuable leadership, teamwork, and communication skills to boost your CV 💬 Represent your community's voice within the Union of Students and help make positive changes for students This is a fantastic opportunity to leave your mark, meet like-minded people, and build something that future students can enjoy for years to come.
