Women in STEM About Us The Women in STEM Community at the University of Derby is a welcoming and supportive space for women and gender minorities with an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Our aim is to make STEM more fun, social and accessible through creative activities and relaxed events. What We Do We host fortnightly meet-ups and fortnightly social events, alternating each week on Thursdays. Our sessions include STEM games, challenges, quizzes, and casual hangouts. All events are low-pressure, affordable and open to all experience levels. Who Can Join Open to students studying STEM subjects and anyone with an interest in STEM who wants to meet new people in a friendly and inclusive environment. Why Join Make friends, enjoy STEM in new ways, and be part of a supportive university community. When & Where Events take place every Thursday on a rotating basis (meet-up one week, social the next).
