Football & Futsal Women's Welcome to the Women's Football & Futsal 24/25 page! We are the University of Derby Women’s Football and Futsal Club! We are a friendly and sociable club based at the Kedleston Road campus that welcomes all female students at the University of Derby. We cater for both new and experienced players! We offer opportunities for players of all skill levels, competing in BUCS Football and Futsal. Our 1st teams in both football and futsal offer more experienced players a chance to compete in high standard leagues. After an impressive season last year our football firsts won promotion and will be playing in the Midlands Tier 1 this season under coach Mark Russell, while futsal firsts look to build on last season in the BUCS Premier North league under Tyler Denson. Our 2nd teams open up playing opportunities to those with less or no experience. The seconds continue to grow and improve in the Midlands Tier 4 A under the watchful eye of Philp Joniak. We also welcome players who want to train but not necessarily play matches, offering intrasquad friendlies, tournaments, and support for those looking to build confidence. Additionally, there are plenty of social opportunities, including laser tag and bowling! We will be in the Sports Centre at the Kedleston Road campus for Freshers Fair on the 16th and 17th of September, come and see us to play some games, have some snacks and get some info! . Every student must have a Union Pass which is £20, before they can purchase a society membership. Our society membership fee is £75. This covers essential club costs such as coaches, pitch hire, kit, equipment, travel and referees for all four teams (two BUCS futsal, two BUCS football). If you wish to join later in the year, from January onwards, this fee is reduced to £40 for the second half of the season. We also offer a £40 training-only membership for those undecided about playing or who want to build confidence.
