UNIVERSITY OF DERBY WOMEN'S RUGBY UNION TEAM 

We pride ourselves on being a fully inclusive team. We range from experienced players to complete novices, of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels.

Competing in the BUCS Women's Midlands Tier 3.

TRAINING TIMES 

Training times:

Every Monday 6 - 7:30pm (4G Pitch, Kedleston Road).

Every Friday 6:30-7:30 (4G Pitch, Kedleston Road).

All BUCS matches are played on Wednesday afternoons.

Our 2025/2056 Give it a Go sessions:

  • Friday 19th 5:30-6:00pm in SC101 + 6:00-7:30pm lower pitch (Kedleston road)
  • Monday 22nd  5:30-6:00pm in SC101 + 6:00-7:30pm lower pitch (Kedleston road)
  • Friday 26th 5:30-6:00pm in SC101 + 6:00-7:30pm lower pitch (Kedleston road)

MEMBERSHIP & INFO

Annual Standard Membership (£80) – This cost covers all player insurance, facility hire fees (such as the training pitch), transportation to games, brand new playing kit as well as an England Qualified Rugby Union coach.

         There is also the option to split the membership payment (£40 x2) between semesters. 

Annual Social Membership (£20) - This allows supporters to spectate at games, both home and away. It also ensures attendance to socials, which will be held most Wednesdays, with Sober Socials also to be had throughout the year!

To access the sessions, you will need both the Union Pass (£20) and one of our Club Memberships. The Union Sports Pass is a one-time annual fee of £20 that gives you access to participate within sports at your Union. As a Union Sports member, you receive the following benefits: 

  • Access to join our Sports Clubs and access training sessions 

  • You are eligible to compete in BUCS competition 

  • Able to purchase tickets to the Sports Awards 

  • Access to coaching and officiating bursaries through club application to the Union. 

The Union Sports Pass also helps keep our clubs affordable by helping the Union fund training and competition opportunities.

As a club we host and partake in a variety of events across the year.

Ranging from our universities annual varisty games, sports tours, club meals, sports awards and social/charity get togethers.
