Support from your Union and University

Two hands reaching for each other

If you have coronavirus symptoms (a new, continuous cough, a high temperature, or have seen a change or loss to your sense of taste and smell), have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or you are shielding, you must self-isolate, inform the University, and take a COVID-19 test.

We have worked in collaboration with the University to establish a COVID-19 student support service. The service consists of a team of volunteers, made up of both students and staff members, who are available with advice and guidance related to COVID-19 and being a student.

The volunteer team will also be carrying out check-in phone calls with those students who are isolating, to ensure you are safe and well and establishing if you have any needs that the volunteer team can help with. Such as collecting ‘click and collect’ shopping or medical supplies from a pharmacy.
