The Co-operative Store on Ashbourne Road is due for a refit. The Manager would like to see how the store could be adapted to meet the needs of the community, especially around youth engagement.
Current plans of design will be shared and your input to improve and captured what is essential to cover. However, we are looking for a different feel and look about how a community store could look from your perspective.
The programme includes, a review of the Co-operative Movement and its ethics, looking at logos and how branding plays a massive part, for you to help design some new ways of store layout and how to make the store a focal point outside and inside. This will involve environmental issues of a build to the ethical products sold inside. Costs will also need to be considered and if we can achieve the sales against investment over a period of years.
Through this workshop you will have the opportunity to develop the following skills:
- Employability
- Design and specification specs
- Awareness of business models and marketing
- Public speaking
- Building relationships and inter-personal skills
This will be a great opportunity to interact with us and share your ideas with our planning department and managers.
As a small gift we will provide a £5 Co-op gift voucher so you can have a treat instore.
