Student Volunteering Week: Think Ocean - Who are we and what do we believe?

We are an organization made up of passionate and hard-working educators, researchers, and action-takers who are fighting every single day to end the ocean plastic crisis. 

At Think Ocean we are committed to clean not only the oceans, but also the beaches and waterways. We organize clean-up events regularly, in various parts of the world, together with local organizations and volunteers. 

We are in the UK now, as part of the international effort to stop the flow of plastic into our oceans. We believe that each clean-up raises public awareness to the threat of marine litter in a very effective way. Volunteers say that participating in clean-up events makes them more mindful of how they dispose of their own waste. 

Future projects

River Debris Catcher (RDC)

We plan to launch a pilot project early 2021. Catching the debris would dramatically improve any river’s ecosystem and appearance. Will educate school and community groups about how rubbish discarded affects not only local waterways but the oceans.
