A celebration of Black and Afro-Caribbean Music, Cuisine and Contribution

The BLSS Awarding Gap Steering Group Committee are hosting a celebration of Black and Afro-Caribbean Music, Cuisine and Contibution.

Black and Afro-Caribbean students are preparing a musical playlist for the event to highlight the talents and contributions of Black and Afro-Caribbean artists.  

A Derby based Caribbean restaurant will be providing a range of finger foods to sample at the event.

Black and Afro-Caribbean students have also been invited to create a powerpoint slide about a Black History hero (a family member, friend, colleague or historical figure) who has inspired them (and optional to share a picture of a family traditional dish and a memory that this evokes).
