Ask the Expert Session with Charlie Tunnard

Have you ever wanted to ask a successful businessperson what makes them tick? Now is your chance.

We are hosting a series of Q&A forums with some of Derby’s most successful experts and entrepreneurs, they will talk about their experiences and answer your questions. These will be small, informal sessions so you'll get plenty of opportunity to find out what you really want to know. 

The second session “Ask the Expert” will be held on Friday 11^th November, at the  University of Derby, Enterprise Centre 12pm – 1.30pm, with Charlie Tunnard who is the Local Enterprise Manager at NatWest for Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, and surrounding areas.

Charlie Tunnard works as a local connector for area SMEs working with local communities to support entrepreneurs and businesses develop and grow.  This involves signposting to local activities as well as NatWest programmes such as Business Builder – a tailored support programme for new and early-stage businesses looking to grow.  Charlie has more than 10 years of experience of working in the banking and finance sector.  

Charlie will be discussing ‘The Power of Mindset…’ Our mindset shapes everything we think and everything we do. From the brand of pasta or loo-roll we buy to the top priority business decisions we make. Often these decisions are made for us by our unconscious and could often be holding us back because these decisions are uncertain or uncomfortable – especially just now.  Join the NatWest Business Builder team and take a deep dive into The Power of Mindset. We’ll be looking at how our mindset is formed and influenced to understand why different situations feel comfortable or not. You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of your own mindset, where it may be holding you back, and the tools and techniques you need to take the next uncomfortable step.
