Markeaton Park Evening Walk with Catherine Atkinson (Student Safety)

We’re inviting students to join us for an evening walk through Markeaton Park with our local MP, Catherine Atkinson, to highlight what it can feel like to walk through the park after dark.

Before the walk, we’ll be holding a student focus group where you can share your experiences, discuss what makes you feel safe or unsafe when travelling around Derby, and suggest practical changes that could make a difference.

We’ll then head out into the park together for around 30 minutes, giving our local MP the opportunity to experience what it feels like for students to walk through Markeaton Park after dark and see first-hand where improvements could make a difference.

📅 Thursday 19th November
🕒3pm–5pm (Dominos pizza will be provided for dinner)
📍Meet at the Union Social Space, Kedleston Road
