Workshop to collect student voices on feedback/issues regarding placements. We're particularly keen to hear from you if you're a BAME, International, Disabled, Mature, LGBTQ+, and/or a Woman student!
Open to: Students currently or previously on a placement (We're particularly keen to hear from you if you're a BAME, International, Disabled, Mature, LGBTQ+ and/or a Woman student)
As part of the Union's Awarding Gap Project, we're looking to hear from students (particularly from our Liberation* groups) who have either previously attended a placement or are currently on a placement for their programme. The aim of this workshop is to better understand how placement experiences may relate to the awarding gap, particularly for students with different protected characteristics. The session will provide a space for students to share honest feedback about their placement experiences, for instance including what has and hasn't worked well and whether any barriers or concerns were linked to aspects of your identity, background or accessibility needs. Your feedback will help us identify any patterns or issues affecting students from different groups and will inform the Union’s work to advocate for more inclusive placement experiences.
