So you're getting a free Freshers wristband, here's how to make the most of it!
You may have heard that the University of Derby is giving every new student a FREE Freshers wristband, giving you free entry to two weeks of events, worth over £60.
Dominic White, Union President says that:
The cost of living crisis means that not every student could afford to take part in Freshers, and are losing out on opportunities to socialise. I am delighted that the Union of Students is working with the University to enable all our first years to experience Freshers for free. I can't wait to welcome everyone here in September
Where/when can you collect your Freshers wristband?
Our Official Union of Students wristbands will be given to all new students upon enrolment. If you are a returning student who has purchased a wristband (you can do this here), you will be able to collect this at WelcomeFest or at the Friary during Freshers Fortnight.
Which Freshers events are included with the wristband?
Your wristband will grant you free access to all of the official events during Freshers Fortnight. You can check out the full wristband event lineup on our #derbyfresh webpages. We have everything from UV raves to more chilled games nights, so whatever you fancy, we've got you covered.
How do I use the wristband to get into events?
Simply show your wristband on the door along with your Proof of Age ID and you'll be in! Make sure you arrive early because we expect our clubnights to be RAMMED and there isn't room for everyone!
