Do you know a student who has gone the extra mile during their time at the University of Derby, making an outstanding contribution to the Union of Students and representing the interests of Derby University students on a regular basis? Then why not nominate them for the most exclusive award given by the Union of Students – Honorary Life Membership.

Honorary Life Membership to the Union of Students is awarded to only four final year students each year who have really gone above and beyond.

With Honorary Life Membership comes many benefits. Those awarded are continued to be entitled to become a member of any Union Sports Club or Society, participate in the Union’s organised events, and use the Union’s bars/cafes at the discretion of the organising committees or license holders after their studies have concluded. Honorary Life Members also get a vote at the Annual General Meetings and receives a limited-edition pin badge.

Honorary Life Membership is a great way to honour someone who has worked really hard and who you think deserves recognition for all they’ve done. They could be a rep, a student officer, a sports/society or SLS member - as long as they've made a difference at the Union of Students and to the students you can put them forward to be considered!

To nominate someone, simply complete the nomination form and fill out the details by no later than Friday 24th June at 12.00pm

You can nominate as many people as you like (and we encourage you to do so!) as long as they're in their final year of study
