The University is looking to offer additional financial support to International and European Union students.
The Government has recently provided some additional financial support to universities to support students experiencing significant financial difficulty due to the cost of living crisis.
As a result, the University is looking to offer additional financial support to International and European Union students: Additional Support for International Students 2023
To be eligible to apply for this support, students must satisfy all of the following criteria:
- EU or Overseas student (Undergraduate or Postgraduate)
- Currently living in the UK
- Enrolled in academic year 2022/23
- Must have a UK bank account
- Significant reduction in income due to the cost of living crisis*
- Experiencing significant financial difficulty due to the cost of living crisis*
* additional evidence and supporting information may be required to support your application
The level of financial support available is limited. Awards will be dependent on the number of eligible students requesting support and the level of need.

The provisional closing date is 4.30pm on Wednesday 24 May 2023.
If a significant number of eligible applications are received prior to this date, the application may be closed early
Additional evidence and supporting information may be requested to confirm your circumstances and for an award to be made. Providing false or misleading information will disqualify an application and could lead to disciplinary action.
Once awards have been agreed and approved, successful applicants will be notified via Unimail.
In order to process payment, successful applicants will be asked to provide details of their UK bank account at that time.
