On Thursday 22nd October, we're hosting a screening of the People's Emergency Briefing. Ahead of the screening, we wanted to share a little more info on what it's about and why it's important.
In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. Now, through the People's Emergency Briefing, everyone has the opportunity to view this important film.
The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future. We invite all students to join us for a screening of the briefing to learn more about the climate crisis. After the screening there'll be the opportunity to discuss the content of the short film and reflect on what we can do both as individuals and organisations to help slow down the effects of climate change on our planet.
As a Union, we believe this is an incredibly important briefing that everyone should at least watch once. We encourage you to ask any questions, share your thoughts on the briefing and leave the event feeling more informed about the climate crisis.
Join us on Thursday 22nd October at 5.00pm in OL1 at Kedleston Road campus - we'd love to see you there!
Tickets are free, but to give us an idea of numbers please book your free ticket.
