Job Description

This opportunity is available for current undergraduate and postgraduate University of Derby students. To apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role and be able to attend the Kedleston Road campus.

Responsible Futures is a national campaign focusing on sustainability and social responsibility. The University of Derby and the Union have been Responsible Futures Accredited since 2022 and we are seeking re-accreditation this year. You are invited to join our team of volunteer student auditors to critically assess and evaluate how effectively sustainability and social responsibility are embedded into all that we do.

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate students who are looking to gain experience of auditing in large organisations. You will be part of a group of six to ten student auditors interviewing university and union staff and reviewing and assessing a range of evidence submitted by the University of Derby and The Union.

No specific prior experience is required, although some knowledge and an interest in sustainability is preferred. Full training will be provided by our partner Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS) UK and lunch and refreshments will be provided to you on both days.

If you want to learn more about sustainability and social responsibility at the University, gain the skills and knowledge associated with auditing, make a positive impact, improve your CV, and develop valuable employability skills, then this opportunity is for you.
