There will be a change of management in the New Year.
From 1 January 2022, the Sports Centre at Kedleston Road will be under new management, Everyone Active.
The £10.8million facility, which opened in 2015, is the hub for student sport and can be used by members of the public as well as students and University staff.
The centre consists of:
- 70-station fitness suite – features a wide range of cardio and resistance equipment, plus free weights
- Performance strength and conditioning suite
- Two 3G pitches (suitable for a wide range of sports including rugby, football, American football)
- Eight-court sports hall – marked for badminton, basketball, football, futsal, netball, cricket nets and handball
- Exercise studio and group cycling studio
- Two tennis courts
- Climbing, abseil and bouldering walls
- Two squash courts
