The Men's 1sts recovered from last week’s agonising cup defeat at home to Worcester 3rds by comfortably beating Nottingham Trent’s 2nds with a first-half performance that blew the visitors away.
While they won 4-1, the 3rds avenged them on Worcester territory roaring to a 3-1 win against their 3rds.
The 4ths maintained their unbeaten start to the season, winning 5-0 against Oxford Uni’s 3rds, while the 2nds came back from behind to beat Nottingham Uni's 4ths 2-1.
The Women's 1sts were not so lucky as they lost 5-0 away to Warwick's 1sts.
In the other sports, the badminton teams performed strongly as the Men’s 1sts drew 4-4 with Durham 1sts, while the 2nds beat their De Montfort counterparts 6-2.
The Women’s 2nds also drew 4-4 with Loughborough 3rds.
The only other Derby teams to win their games on the day were the Women’s Rugby Union 1sts, as they beat De Montfort 1sts 34-17 in a resounding victory, while the Women’s Volleyball 1sts beat Edinburgh 1sts 3-1.
The Men’s 2nd Volleyball team lost in straight sets to Nottingham 3rds, while both the 1st and 3rd Women’s Netball teams lost, with the Women’s Lacrosse 1sts also suffering a defeat.
The Men’s Table Tennis 2nds were comfortably beaten 17-0 by Nottingham Trent 5ths.
The Women’s Squash 1sts were narrowly beaten by Nottingham 4ths, while the Men’s 1sts had their game versus Aston postponed.
To conclude the results for the day, the Equestrian A team came 3rd in their event.
That is not it for the week however, as the Men’s Dodgeball 1sts have a double-header on Saturday against Leicester and Warwick’s 1st teams, while the Men’s Futsal 1sts play Loughborough 2nds in the University of Derby Sports Centre.
The American Football 1sts will face Anglia Ruskin 1sts on Sunday at 1pm, while the Men’s Dodgeball 2nds will have three consecutive games against Nottingham 2nds, Loughborough 1sts and De Montfort 1sts.
Finally, the Men’s Futsal 2nds will face Nottingham Trent 3rds in the Conference Cup at home to complete this week of BUCS.
