For many, Black History Month is a time to reflect on the diverse histories of people of African and Caribbean descent, as well as to recognise their achievements and contributions to the UK's social, political, economic, and cultural development.
Celebrating Black History Month is so important as it gives us a chance to show people how resilient and determined we are as a community. Through years and years of oppression and discrimination, we are still going strong and will not be kept quiet. We are strong, beautiful and unique. We are proud to be black.
