Elections Results

After another year of campaigning, it’s all over! The votes have been cast, and you've chosen your new Executive Officer Team. The 2026 Union Elections displayed all of the amazing creativity and determination of the candidates; it was great to see so many passionate students campaigning for changes to improve the student experience.

To every one who stood for a role, campaigned or voted, we want to say a huge thank you. Thank you for being a part of the Union Elections and thank you for helping to shape the future of the University of Derby. You have all made a huge difference and your voice has contributed to creating positive change.

The results were formally announced at the, slightly delayed, Election Results event on Thursday 19th February in the Union Social Space at Kedleston Road. We had 5,118 votes cast in this year’s Union Elections and we’d like to say another huge congratulations to all the candidates who were elected and, of course, to everyone who took part. The elected students will now go on to lead the Union of Students on behalf of every student at Derby for the 26/27 Academic Year, so who you voted for really does make such a difference! The elected officers coordinate the work and direction of the Union to best fulfil their vision and that of the students.
