Do you fancy a walk in Derby to discover hidden nature spots? Check out the map below to give you a starting point and some destinations on your journey for Mental Health Awareness Week or in the future if you want to get active!

Within these hidden nature spots, you will find all sorts of activities to get involved with which are family friendly and there are some great photo opportunities too. You will discover more within the City of Derby and may you give alternative places to go in the future as a change of scenery.

Walking out in the fresh air and spending time in nature can have benefits on your mental health. It can have positive effects such as improving your mood, reducing stress and making new connections.

If you want to find out ways to connect more with nature, RSPB have a birdwatching tick sheet that is great for the whole family and will encourage learning about nature.
