Your student officer group was elected in March to represent you for the academic year 2021/2022. Your officers are now trained and are in position to support and help improve your student experience here at the University of Derby.
A little bit about Student Officers and how they represent you whilst you are studying here at the University of Derby.
We have a representation structure in place for you to be able to provide any feedback about your course or University experience. We want to ensure that you feel able and confident in getting your voice heard, as students are at the heart of everything we do here at the Union of Students.

Education Officers
These officers are here to represent you at a school level so they will be attending meetings with your college team to discuss any academic related feedback or issues that you have whilst at the University that has been passed through your student rep.
If you are a student rep, you will have direct contact with your relevant education officer via the Microsoft Teams site or you can contact them via the email addresses on the website above if you want to share any feedback.
If your course doesn’t have an elected student representative but if gathering feedback, being passionate about making change, creating positive impact and improving students university experience is something you are interested in, think about putting yourself forward during induction week.
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to provide your feedback and get your voice heard through:
- College student forums
- Drop in sessions
- Polls
- Surveys
