NUS UK Affiliation Referendum - The Results

The Union of Students has recently concluded its referendum on whether to remain affiliated with the National Union of Students (NUS) UK. Voting in the referendum opened on 27th April and closed today at midday. The referendum needed 1000 votes to reach 'quoracy' and be counted as a valid referendum.

The referendum did not reach 1000+ votes, which means that we defer back to the status quo and remain affiliated to NUS UK for another year.

Thank you to all those who campaigned and voted. As per our Standing Orders we will hold another referendum on NUS UK Affiliation next year. If you would like to be part of this and help with the planning or campaigning, please do get in touch with elections@derbyunion.co.uk to let us know.
