On Wednesday, March 2nd, the Union of Students and University of Derby Online Learning (UDOL) hosted their 4th UDOL student forum.
Students studying a UDOL course were invited to join Ian Whitehead (Academic Head of Online Learning) and other academic leads in an opportunity to provide feedback regarding their courses and to have any questions answered. Questions on the day included online group work, how to balance work, home life and study, where to find support on critical thinking for assignments, mentoring for civil engineering students and more. There was also a lively discussion on the future of the online learning environment.
Your Student Officer for Online Students and forum chair, Ian Danton, recognised the desire of the academic leads to not only listen but also learn and implement ideas and enhancements to improve the student experience.
The next UDOL student forum will be on June 30th. Information on how to join will be released in due course.
