Welcome to the History Society!
Who are we?
Well if it wasn't to obvious from the name we are the Universities own History society. Its not what you think though, we don't expect you to sit around a table with us examining books about the industrial revolution. That is something for actual lessons. Our goals as a society are to provide a fun, friendly and interactive space for all students to enjoy, without the pressures of deadlines.
What we plan to provide
Over the coming year we already have lots of things in mind and we hope to see you join us for the ride. As a teaser and to give you an idea of what to expect here are some of our planned events: A halloween ghost walk around derby (sure to be spooky), monthly trivia quizes at local pubs hosted by Histories own Ruth Larsen and Ian Whitehead, trips to local and national historical landmarks (we are the history society ofcourse) and finally we promise to provide entertainment all year round.

We understand it can be hard to make decisions about joining societies, especially when having to pay money to do so, with that in mind we are available to answer any queries you may have on any of our social medias. We are a society created for you by you.
