about us

Our aim at the LGBTQ+ Society is to provide a safe and welcoming space for all University of Derby students who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual, queer and/or unsure/undecided, and for anyone who experiences any sort of homophobia, biphobia and/or transphobia.

What do we do?

Socials  //  Educational Talks  //  Trips

Over the year we will be taking part in a number of collaborations with other societies. We plan on hosting several talks throughout the year on LGBTQ+ history and identity. Having gaming sessions and film nights, along with trips not just in Derby but far, far away!
We also hope to assist our members in their university experience, bring attention to the issues that they face LGBTQ+ related or not and campaign to make the University better for everyone!
