Netball

Welcome to the University of Derby's Netball page!

We are UDNC & here for your fun & fitness needs. We’re open to all abilities, so whether you’re a pro-netballer or have never tried the sport before, we have something for you. Last year we won Most Charitable Club of the Year for the 4th time in a row and also Club of The Year!!

We now have 3 teams representing us in BUCS league as well as a development team who also play regular friendlies with local universities & clubs throughout the year. We have two amazing Coaches who work with our BUCS teams; 1st team coach Ash Hurrell (who won Coach of the Year) and our 2nd & 3rd team coach Jo Ball who runs our Tuesday session which focuses on netball skills and drills. New to 2017 we now have a brilliant development coach, Ally, who supports our development team each week! Ash also run's our Friday morning session which focuses on fitness/S&C.

As much as we love playing netball, we also hold socials every Wednesday for you all to come along to, take a break from training & get to know everyone & have fun! These are hosted by our Social Secretary!

Throughout the year we also hold numerous events to raise money for charity and the club, including our 2 big events; Spookabout who we host with Dance & our Valentines Ball! So there will always be something to get you involved into throughout the year!

We are on Facebook, Twitter and also Instagram, so follow us to keep updated on what we are up to! If you also have any questions please do not hesitate to drop us a message!! We're always about so feel free to message any of us seperately or come down to a training session and just chat to one of our committee members.
