Pole Fitness

Hello!

We are the University of Derby Pole Fitness Club AKA The Treefrogs. We are a wide range of people all brought together by our love for pole fitness. Pole fitness is a sport everyone can enjoy regardless of age, gender, shape, size or ability. You will see increases in your strength, flexibility and confidence through regular sessions, which are a fun form of exercise that you won’t be able get enough of.

Our training sessions are relaxed and easy going, with all abilities catered for from beginners to advanced. Within the club, there are opportunities to compete in and attend competitions. Our recent wins include: placing third overall in the Midlands Inter-Uni Pole Dancing competition 2017 (1st in the advanced category and 3rd in the beginners category) and placing 2nd in the Advanced category of Nottingham Trent Pole Stars 2018

As part of the club, there will be one FREE training session each week where you will be in the safe hands of either (or both) of our amazing qualified instructors, Natalie Osei  and Claire Atkinson. Your free weekly class will be held in the Kirtley building at the main Kedleston Road campus, these will be on a Tuesday night - 18:30 - 20:00.  You will also be invited to regular social events and free pole jams throughout the year, as well as taking part in Varisty where the sports societies compete against Northampton to see who is the best uni (Derby of course!)
