We are the University of Derby Pole Fitness Club AKA The Treefrogs. We are made up of a wide range of people brought together by their love for pole fitness. Pole fitness is one of the most upcoming sports out there today and is quickly gaining popularity. It is a sport that everyone can enjoy, no matter your age, gender, shape, size or ability. You will see increases in your strength, flexibility and confidence through regular sessions, becoming a fun form of exercise that you won’t be able get enough of.
Our training sessions are relaxed and easy going, with all abilities catered for. Within the club, there are opportunities to compete in and attend competitions. Our recent wins includes: placing third overall in the Midlands Inter-Uni Pole Dancing competition 2017 (1st in the advanced category and 3rd in the beginners category) and placing 3rd in the intermediate category of Nottingham Trent Pole Stars 2017
As part of the club, there will be a FREE (yes, free!) training session per week where you will be in the safe hands of our qualified instructor, Susan Colebourne. Sue runs pole fitness sessions in the studio at Santino's Health and Fitness Centre which is very close to the University halls of residence. Your free weekly class will be held in the Kirtley building at the main Kedleston Road campus. As a member, you can receive discounted pole fitness classes which will be run by Sue from the studio at Santino's. You will also be invited to regular social events and free pole jams throughout the year.
We hope to see you soon!
