Trustee Board

What I hope to bring to the board is my perspective as a Health and Social Care student, one grounded in equality and driven by a passion to create positive changes in the everyday lives of every individual. Ultimately, my goal is to keep the Union moving in the right direction and to ensure that the student perspective remains at the heart of its strategy for all of us.

I hope to play my role in creating a more inclusive and supportive community. I care deeply about student representation and believe every voice deserves to be heard.

What I hope to bring to the board is a broad appreciation of people, business and performance. A career spent working in the people space, a degree of curiosity and experience to help inform decisions and strategies. And a sense of fun. Never forget rule number six folks.

What I hope to bring to the Board is varied range of experience and skills to complement the other Trustees.

I hope that I can bring my years of experience working in a whole range of successful organisations to support and challenge the Students Union to be the best employer and service provider to every student that it can be.

I am passionate about bringing a sense of creativity and innovation to the role, seeking to identify new opportunities and approaches to enhance the student experience at Derby.

I was keen to become a trustee to provide support to student leaders and ensure that the Union helps the University to provide the best possible experience of higher education. As someone who was first in my family to attend university, I am passionate about the transformative power of the university experience and the crucial role SUs play in this.
