Consider Campaign

The Consider Campaign is vital because being polite can and will strengthen your connections with others, aid in the development of respect and community, increase your self-esteem and confidence, and improve your communication skills. We must begin to think more like nice neighbours and less like miserable self-obsessed ones.

No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another. — Charles Dickens

Callum Young, Vice President (Welfare)

The Consider Campaign aims to remind all students to be kind and considerate to others. This campaign was prompted after a series of complaints to Callum, Vice President (Welfare) about an increase of inconsiderate behaviour.

You will start to see a series of posters around Kedleston Road in ‘hotspot’ areas which will hopefully make you think twice about how your actions can impact other people.

Was someone waiting for the bus before you? Does someone else need this lift more than you? Could you hold the door for someone else? Are people around you trying to study? Keep it down. At peak times, consider giving up your seat for someone eating their lunch.
