    Parking charges

      The parking charges are extortionate, especially for students with 4 hr lectures and for disabled students. I find it a bit sickening that I am eligible for a parking permit at Kedleston Road becauseI have a disability and yet it will cost me £5.40 per day for the privilege. At the minute I am lucky enough that I can park elsewhere but some days I can’t do that and £5.40 on top of the petrol cost is a bit ridiculous

    3:35pm on 27 Sep 19 Please if you choose to park elsewhere, make sure it is not on surrounding residential streets. Living near to the Kedleston rd campus has been an ongoing nightmare. During term time streets are flooded with students, often with residents having to contact the police. Please be considerate of the families living on these streets.

Please be aware that you are eligible to submit the same idea to the Ideas Forum twice each academic year, so if you would like to submit this idea again to attempt to reach over 25 votes you are free to do so! There are other ways to get your voice heard too! You can speak to your Full Time Officers and Part Time Officers https://www.derbyunion.co.uk/change/officers/ as well as attending Scrutiny Panel held six times per year (check the Union events calendar for dates) and also attending Summit which this year is being held on 27th November 2019, 10-12:30 PM in OL2 at Ked Road. We will never stop representing you and your academic interests!
