Many of the people I have spoken to feel we should have a halal food option, as the campus doesn't have variety of food or the food isn't halal so many cant eat it. Finding themselves eating the same thing each time, which can be very boring.

8:55am on 24 Oct 18 I agree with this because there isn't a variety of food choice at the university in which we can enjoy

12:12pm on 24 Oct 18 I strongly agree with this as I am facing the same issue. I have been wanting to try a lot of food at the university, but with the food not being halal has prevented me from doing this. Having a halal meal option available at the campus would enable me to enjoy my lunch break and have a good meal and socialise with my friends. I would also suggest that bringing this change will bring more money for the campus and would prevent from students eating outside the campus.

10:40am on 25 Oct 18 This idea would be so good for a vast majority of students within the uni. Having to make constant trips to the town centre can get frustrating as the traffic can mean you find your self running late for your next lecture/seminar.

4:53pm on 4 Nov 18 The food within the university does not seem to be as diverse as it looks. We need more halal and gluten-free food available for those with dietary requirements. The food currently does not appeal to a lot of students moral, religious and dietary requirements within the university. Food is the mental stability for most students. It's not right that though most students travel all the way to the university and pay the same amount of tuition as everyone else, they don't get considered and don't get the opportunity to recharge their brains though food because the food available is not catered towards them. The cold, stale sandwiches in the store either finish before lunch even starts or the ones that are left are not at all appealing to be filling for lunch. The food that you can get from the BAR or Canteen is only vegetarian options, which we are not even sure are prepared in a way which can be acceptable to be consumed by us. Being halal means we can eat meat as long as it is Halal. Please consider this as we would like to enjoy meat or other options when at university than nachos, salads or egg. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

9:06am on 8 Mar 19 I don’t understand why there isn’t a halal option already. I mean we pay tuition; so shouldn’t it be included. Also, the university can’t claim it caters to everyone when it clearly doesn’t. I’m in second year now and they said they do something about it when I was in 1st year. Clearly the idea wasn’t taken seriously. So my question is why hasn’t anything been done.
