    More security cameras in Britannia Mill Studios

    There are growing concerns about the security in the Brittinia Mill studios. An incident has flagged up the fact that there is only one security camera in the studios, only pointing down one hallway at one entrance. There are two entrances so there should be a bare minimum of 2 cameras, preferably more for extra reassurance. I'm sure you can appriciate how important our work and materials are to us, and with the third year show coming up, we really need to secure the area. Thankyou for reading.

2:25pm on 30 Jan 19 Yes! Very good idea! Considering that our degree show is upon us, not all of our equipment can fit into a locker and thus needs to be left in the open. Having an extra camera would make me feel more at ease and less worried about expensive equipment going missing.

We shouldn't be afraid to leave certain things unattended (e.g. paint brushes, paints, books, etc) in our studio spaces just in case they get taken or damaged- especially with the studios being open later, the cameras will add a real sense of security for everybody moving forward.

3:15pm on 30 Jan 19 This is a great idea! It will add an extra sense of security and reassurance knowing that our materials and our work is safe. But most importantly that we as students are safe from harm as the main door doesn't work properly at the minute so anybody could enter.

4:18pm on 30 Jan 19 This would be wonderful from a personal safety point of view as well as people's work. Amazed there isn't one at the second entrance already especially with the Health and Safety policy.
