    24 hour Libraries all year round

    Nearly every University in the UK has at least one 24 hour library. I find it much easier to do work in the library and I am more productive at night like most students. A 24-hour library throughout the year would be a massive help towards deadlines and studying. I know I am not the first person to ask for this but only having it through certain times in the term really doesn't help. It is actually one of the biggest downfalls of UoD. If other universities can do it then why can't UoD?

1:12pm on 2 Sep 19 Hi there, I'm Daniella, the current Union President. Thank you for using our Idea's Forum. At the moment the 24 hour library is currently being reviewed from the year so we can see where we can make improvements and amendments as this was the first year ever we have done it. During the year, we do have a 24 hour space at 67 Bridge Street that is open all year round for students to use whilst the 24/7 library periods are closed. I understand your frustration but last year was a pilot year for the University which we do hope to improve on year by year.
