    During the course of visiting dozens of university open days, I have visited a their shops and seen the range of branded items that they have available - everything from teddies to laptop bags etc. I'm proud to be here at Derby and often think- I wish there was a branded Derby this or that! Branded items like re-usable masks, different types of clothing (in plus sizes too) ie Amercian style college jackets, Christmas hats or gifts etc. It's time to market the brand and sell UOD & US

I'm sure the Union has policies in place, but I think it should go with the caveat that careful thought is put into what additional lines they take on and how sustainable they are. Hate to be the miserable old git, but there's enough pointless, plastic, shite that goes to landfill as is without the Union contributing to that by releasing a set of tatty "Merry ChristmUS" baubles that everyone's going to throw out once they graduate.
