To create a Student Research Bank that will centralise a way for students to market and recruit other students for their research projects/modules. This will most likely utilise a similar approach to the Union's volunteering platform and contribute to the futures award. This project is already currently in development and has involved the University's SAGE, research and library departments as well as Union of Students staff. However, we want students to have a chance to vote on it too!

4:13pm on 16 Apr 21 Just to explain further: This would allow anyone doing research (e.g. in a research module or for your dissertation) to put a "recruitment ad" on to the platform we set up. This would allow other students to take part in the research and allow them to build up their hours for Futures Awards too. This will mean you are more likely to find participants easier and quicker than doing it through your social media plus also makes your research of a higher quality as you won't be recruiting friends or family who may skew the tests due to bias

12:46pm on 10 May 21 You may be interested to know about the upcoming summit - https://www.derbyunion.co.uk/ents/event/2879/. It may not be too late for this idea to be considered but it would need significantly more votes

7:06pm on 28 Jun 21 You could also ask potential participants to register and put preferences for the research they would like to get involved in.

7:22pm on 28 Jun 21 Thanks Wendy for your suggestion - its certainly a feature that would be looked into should the SRB be implemented!

10:14am on 4 Oct 21 There is already a participation scheme for psychology which works really well and could probably be adapted across the university... if not the specific format, then at least the blueprint.

11:12am on 4 Oct 21 I agree a much broader than the psychology one would be great, as long as the point system is well balanced.

12:04pm on 4 Oct 21 Hi Catherine, I believe we (the team behind this) did discuss this a while back, could you by any chance explain the system to me? (P.S. Thanks Alexander for your feedback too!)
