I’ve applied for the secretary position as I would like to play a bigger part in the society and I feel I could succeed in this role. I believe I would be a good secretary as I’m organised and punctual so I’ll be able to fill out the forms for any upcoming gigs and rehearsal spaces on time and to a good standard. I have also had similar roles in the past (college course representative and head of ensemble) where I would have to organise and create schedules, meetings and people backstage. I also feel I have some good ideas for the society that I would be able to communicate within this role for example I thought we could look into doing a karaoke night for students to raise money for the society, which could then be spent on things we might need for upcoming gigs or rehearsals.
